Josh Parkin fights for Cancer Research UK

10th July 2018 at 10:35
CSC’s Josh Parkin is in specialist training for an Ultra White Collar Boxing match against unknown opposition in a bid to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

Josh has been working incredibly hard in preparation for his fight at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane ground on Saturday, 14 July.

Josh is a technician on CSC’s Integrity Management team and he has a sponsorship target of £300.

Ultra White Collar Boxing is a well-established series of events in the UK. In Sheffield alone, the UWCB organised fights have raised over £130,000 for charities.

“I won’t know who I am fighting until the weigh-in, just before the fight itself, but I am ready” says Josh. “I have been attending the Ni Yai Muay Thai centre in Sheffield regularly with my father, Simon, and we’re both enjoying it. I have been honing my all-round boxing skills, but the boxing elements such as bag work, pad work and sparring will stand me in good stead for the match itself.”
